Volunteer for our Camps!
Peer Buddies
- Children age 10-18 are welcome to apply to volunteer.
- Six one week sessions are offered in the summer.
- Volunteers may register for a maximum of three weeks.
- Volunteers must be available from 8:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Mon. thru Fri.
- Camp pays for all activities, field trips, and materials. Individuals must bring their own food.
- Each volunteer is assigned an adult counselor for the week.
- Counselors are adults working with children with autism or pursuing a degree in special education or a related field.
- Each volunteer is also assigned one child with autism for the week
Volunteers provide companionship, encouragement, and a behavior model. - Siblings of campers are encouraged to volunteer.
- Volunteers must be respectful, able to follow directions, and eager to participate in all activities.
- A mandatory training session is held several weeks prior to camp.
